ROGER:
The story of Pareidolia is an interesting one, at least to us!
So Dave was making some tweaks and changes to the studio and I went over one Sunday afternoon(May 20, 2018) to help with that. Once we got it set up, we needed to test it so we sat down and played, Dave playing bass and I playing the piano. We had fun, and liked what we had played.
The next day was Monday(our usual evening) so Tom would be coming over; we played what we had written on Sunday for him and he immediately said, “oh, I want to play on this!” So we set it up to record over and Dave decided that he would like to play guitar this time around and I decided to play drums.
I had some memory of what we had played the day before and we had just listened. So we just started playing and it just seemed to work out so well. We played off of the three of us that were playing live, but there was also the bass and piano track that we were responding to just as if it was happening right then. So you know happy accident or whatever but we’re really happy with it. Enjoy “Pareidolia”.
